MindDesignStore,
For a greener Future

Offering a sustainable production solution with print-on-demand, reducing waste, and supporting eco-friendly practices.

Some textile waste is unavoidable, even with on-demand fulfillment. However, we work hard to repurpose, recycle, and donate as much as possible. In 2023, one of our suppliers launched scrunchies and headbands made from leftover fabric, saving 15,227 sq. ft. of material from going to waste.

Our waste management efforts depend on each supply facility. Damaged clothing can be turned into rags, fabric scraps shredded for furniture or toy stuffing, or, as a last resort, waste is converted into energy. We're committed to minimizing our environmental impact in every way we can.

Product Packaging

At MindDesignStore all apparel products are packed in post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic mailers. The amount of PCR in the packaging will differ depending on where your order gets printed, but it’s at least 50% for the outside (white or grey) poly mailer bags and at least 30% for the inside (clear) bags used in multi-item shipments. PCR packaging is made from everyday items, like used plastic bags and bottles. This material protects your order just as well as regular plastic bags, however, choosing PCR over first-use plastics reduces the environmental impact plastic has on our planet. PCR reduces energy consumption by at least 79% and reduces GHG emissions by at least 67%.

Additionally, we’ve added a QR code with recycling information to our white-label packaging to improve the customer experience and allow you to learn how to reuse and recycle it.

Our CO₂ footprint supplier in 2023

With 90% of its emissions coming from indirect sources, MindDesignStore's emissions are comparable to those of consumer staples businesses.

On average, each product released 12.52 pounds (5.68 kilograms) of CO₂ in 2023. We are establishing science-based reduction targets and creating a thorough action plan to further minimize this.

  • Direct emissions: Natural gas, propane, fuel, and electricity used in operations.

  • Purchased goods and services (PG&S): The largest emission source, covering materials and services.

  • Use of sold products: Customer activities like washing, ironing, and drying.

  • Shipping: From fulfillment centers to customers.

  • Other indirect emissions: Travel, commuting, waste, capital goods, and others.

MindDesignStore is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and prioritizing sustainability in every aspect of its operations.

Efficient shipping
Approximately 86% of MindDesignStore orders are delivered and fulfilled within the same region where they are ordered. This win-win strategic approach benefits customers, our planet, and our business. By locating fulfillment centers close to customers, MindDesignStore ensures faster shipping, lower costs, and a significant reduction in CO₂ emissions from transportation.
